If it is your first Brazilian, feeling nervous is completely normal. Your therapist will bring you into a private room, explain what needs to happen, and give you time to get settled. The wax itself is done in small sections. It is uncomfortable in moments, but it is also fast.

Hair should be about the length of a grain of rice. If you have been shaving, that usually means letting it grow for two to three weeks. Come with clean skin, skip lotions or oils on the area, and wear loose clothing afterwards. The first wax is usually the most sensitive; regular waxing gets easier as the hair grows back finer.

Give the skin a quiet first day.

For the first 24 hours, avoid the beach, pools, hot showers, steam rooms, heavy workouts, tight clothing, and intimacy. Freshly waxed skin is more open and reactive, especially in heat and humidity.

After 48 hours, gentle exfoliation two or three times a week helps prevent ingrown hairs. Moisturize with something simple and fragrance-free. Try not to shave between appointments, because shaving interrupts the growth cycle and makes the next wax harder than it needs to be.

Most clients book every four to six weeks. That keeps the hair at a good length and makes the whole thing more predictable.
