What is it good for?
A diamond tip and gentle suction remove dead surface skin cells. This cosmetic treatment may improve dullness, rough surface texture and buildup, leaving skin feeling softer and looking fresher.
It does not treat active acne or repair sun damage. Daily sun protection remains important.
Is it right for my skin?
Ask us before booking if skin is sensitive, sunburned, inflamed, or recently treated with a peel or laser. Tell us about skin medicines and cold sores.
If you use or recently used isotretinoin, scar easily, or have a changing or bleeding skin spot, seek a dermatologist's advice first.
What happens in the 30 minutes?
- Skin check: sensitivity, recent sun exposure, breakouts and your goals.
- Cleanse: remove makeup, sunscreen and surface oil.
- Exfoliate: controlled diamond-tip passes with gentle suction.
- Calm and protect: hydration and individual sun-protection guidance.
What results can I expect?
- Smoother-feeling surface texture.
- A brighter, fresher-looking complexion.
- Makeup and skincare may sit more evenly.
Results vary and are temporary. Some goals need a series, agreed after a suitability check. Persistent acne or pigmentation concerns need professional skin advice, not a promise of a spa cure.
What should I do afterwards?
- First 24 hours: avoid direct sun, swimming, steam rooms, heavy sweating and harsh exfoliants.
- Use SPF: broad-spectrum sun protection is essential after exfoliation.
- Keep it gentle: mild cleanser and moisturiser. Ask when to restart retinol, acids and scrubs.

How is it different from a facial or peel?
A classic facial focuses more on cleansing and restorative care. Microdermabrasion focuses on surface texture and exfoliation.
A chemical peel uses acids instead of mechanical exfoliation. Suitability and aftercare differ; ask us if you aren't sure which to choose. Medical skin concerns should be assessed by a qualified healthcare professional.

Microdermabrasion FAQ
Does microdermabrasion hurt?
You may feel a scratchy sensation or suction. Tell your esthetician straight away if it feels uncomfortable.
How soon will I see results?
Skin may feel smoother and look fresher after treatment. Results vary; a series may be suggested for suitable cosmetic goals.
Is there downtime?
There is usually little downtime, but redness, tenderness, or mild swelling can last one to two days. Protect your skin from the sun and follow the aftercare advice.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Suitability is individual. If your skin develops dark marks after irritation or injury, ask a dermatologist about pigmentation risk before treatment.
How often should I book it?
Ask us for a plan based on your skin, sensitivity, and goals rather than booking a fixed series in advance.
