Choose by the experience you want

I mainly want to relax

Choose KiWest Massage or relaxation massage. The flowing Swedish-style approach uses gentle-to-moderate pressure and is often the easiest starting point for a first appointment.

I want firmer work on a tight area

Choose deep tissue. It uses slower, more focused pressure. Firm should still be tolerable, and you can ask for pressure changes at any time.

I want warmth and a spa experience

Choose hot stone. Heated stones are used as part of the treatment. Tell the therapist immediately if the temperature or pressure is uncomfortable.

Two of us want the same appointment time

Choose couples massage. Each guest can choose pressure separately, and the booking can be for partners, friends or family members.

I only have 30 minutes

Choose one realistic priority. A mini appointment works best when you do not expect a full-body session plus several detailed focus areas.

I am still unsure

Book according to the closest goal and explain your preferences at consultation. The name on the menu is a starting point, not a requirement to tolerate pressure you dislike.

Pressure

Light, medium or firm massage pressure?

Pressure preference is personal. Deep pressure is not automatically more effective, and massage should not become a test of endurance. NCCIH notes that serious adverse effects are rare but have been reported, with some cases involving vigorous techniques such as deep tissue massage. Speak up if pressure feels sharp, causes numbness, or makes you brace rather than relax.

Light to moderate

Usually suits relaxation, first-time clients and guests who want an unhurried reset. It can still include attention to a preferred area.

Firm and focused

May suit guests who actively prefer stronger work on selected muscular areas. Tell the therapist about health conditions, injuries and medications first.

Mixed pressure

You can request firmer attention in one area and gentler pressure elsewhere. Your feedback during the appointment matters more than choosing a perfect label online.

Safety first

When a massage selector is not enough

A website cannot decide whether massage is suitable for a medical concern. Tell KiWest before treatment if you are pregnant, take blood-thinning medication, have a recent injury or operation, a healing wound, fever, unexplained swelling, a diagnosed clotting risk, or another condition that may change what is safe. Do not use massage to delay medical care for unusual or severe symptoms.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before you book

Which massage is best for a first-time client?

KiWest Massage or relaxation massage is usually the clearest starting point because the pressure can stay gentle to moderate while you learn what feels comfortable.

Which massage is best for tight shoulders?

If you prefer firm, focused work, deep tissue may fit. If you mainly want to relax, KiWest Massage can still include shoulder attention with gentler pressure.

Is hot stone massage deeper than deep tissue?

Not necessarily. Hot stone describes the use of warmth, while deep tissue describes a firmer, more focused approach. Choose based on the experience and pressure you want.

Does a couples massage have to be romantic?

No. Partners, friends and family members can book a couples massage. Each guest can discuss their own pressure and comfort.

Should I choose the strongest pressure?

No. Choose pressure you can tolerate without bracing or feeling sharp pain. Stronger pressure is not automatically better.

Can I change pressure during the massage?

Yes. Ask for lighter or firmer pressure at any point. Useful feedback helps the therapist adjust the appointment.

Should I book 30 or 60 minutes?

Choose 30 minutes for a quick reset or one clear focus area. Choose 60 minutes for a broader session or several priorities.

What if I have an injury or health condition?

Share it before treatment. Depending on the condition, the massage may need modification, postponement or advice from a healthcare professional.
